WELCOME!
I'm Noelle. I write books, movies, and television - most of which have strong female characters woven into layers of wild, dynamic, and action-driven plots. I believe strong women belong on shelves, on stages, and on screen, and that their roles should be complex.
A few honors I’ve received include:
Best First-Time Director for BUM at the New York Cinematography Awards in 2020
Best Cinematography (co-won) for BUM at the Los Angeles Cinematography Awards in 2020
Winner of The New York Screenplay Contest for my screenplay BERNIE BABY in 2017
My film BUM screened at The Big Apple Film Festival and the Manhattan Film Festival in 2020
As a former actor, I am drawn to deep character development.
As a reader, I am drawn to the emotions and the why-why-why.
As a producer, I am drawn to the commercial aspect of storytelling.
As a writer, I am drawn to the challenge of creating it all.
I grew up in Freehold, New Jersey, with a turbulent childhood that included my parents’ divorce when I was thirteen. Through the hardship, I focused on success, becoming my high school class president, a varsity athlete, and an honor student. My determination earned me a full scholarship to Rutgers University, where I studied Communication, Theater, and Screenwriting. After college, I worked in sales and snagged a certificate in Producing from UCLA. From there, I contributed to numerous studio films, including Netflix’s Don’t Look Up, Lionsgate’s The Spy Who Dumped Me, and MGM’s Creed II, while simultaneously working in the world of commercial real estate, where I expanded retail concepts throughout the U.S. for companies such as Amazon and Levi Strauss & Co.
I met my husband at a bar in NYC. We’ve both lived in Manhattan and Seattle together, and now reside in Connecticut with our amazing son and golden retriever. If I’m not writing, I’m most likely jamming on a mini guitar to Queen’s 1985 Live Aid concert or practicing mindfulness and yoga.
